Welcome to the NITA (Nermine Ismail Training Academy) course on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom! This course, led by Mai Abdallah, invites educators to embark on an exciting journey into the transformative world of AI and its applications in teaching and learning.

Throughout this course, participants will explore a variety of innovative AI-driven platforms designed to enhance educational experiences. The video will introduce robust tools, including:

Perplexity: A user-friendly platform that revolutionizes the search experience by providing reliable sources, citations, and a wealth of multimedia resources for educators.

Diffit: An AI-driven platform tailored for educators, enhancing teaching methods and streamlining classroom management with collaborative activities, lesson plans, and hands-on projects.

Eduaide: A comprehensive educational resource that assists in lesson planning, rubrics, interactive games, and well-being activities, while also acting as an administrative assistant.

Curipod: An innovative tool that enhances engagement through interactive learning features, allowing educators to create polls and open-ended questions integrated into their presentations.

Magic School: This powerful assistant crafts professional emails, provides constructive feedback, and generates personalized learning plans to support students’ diverse needs.

Quizly: An advanced AI question generator that aligns with Bloom’s Taxonomy, facilitating the development of assessments that promote critical thinking.

Teachermatic: An innovative platform designed to streamline the teaching process with tailored lesson plans addressing specific student needs.

Mai Abdallah

Ms. Mai Abdallah is the Academic Dean at the Shorouk Campus. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English Department, in 2003. With a strong passion for education, she has earned multiple diplomas and certifications, including an Educational Leadership diploma and training in technology and gamification for educational leaders from the American University in Cairo. She is also a certified IB literature teacher and holds qualifications in dyslexia, training of trainers (TOT), and English language teaching.

Her career in education began as an English instructor at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Defense Language Institute (MODLI). She joined NIS in 2005, where she served in various roles, including teacher, Head of the English Department, and Vice Principal. Over the years, she has worked in both the Tagamoe and Shorouk campuses, demonstrating her leadership as Principal of the elementary division in the New Capital Campus and later returning to Shorouk Campus as Academic Dean.

Ms. Abdallah is a strong advocate for positive thinking and believes in the transformative impact of professional development on teaching quality.
